Advice on how to verify if a piece is Murano or not?

I have recently inherited a lovely glass lantern which from internet research I believe could be 1940ʼs Murano. Would you be able to advise how I may be able to get this verified?

There are several imperfections in the glass - bubbles, etc.

Dear Naomi,
it is impossible to determine the origin of this lamp. however it is a classic Venetian lamp. The wrought iron part is wonderful.
Surely a lamp to preserve jealously.
